Unlike before, when showbiz fanatics frowned on their idols having partners outside of loveteams, fans today are more accepting of onscreen pairings.<\/p>\n

Take the case of Sparkle artists Ysabel Ortega and Jon Lucas, whose characters Daron and Armea in the recently concluded GMA fantasy series \u201cEncantadia Chronicles: Sang\u2019gre\u201d gave birth to an unexpected loveteam.<\/p>\n

The loveteam DarMea was never planned. The viewers found perfect chemistry between Jon and Ysabel \u2013 never mind if the former is happily married to former \u201cIt\u2019s Showtime\u201d dancer Shy Feras and have three kids, while the latter is in a romantic relationship with Miguel Tanfelix.<\/p>\n

\u201cOriginally, Daron only had five taping days. Papasok siya sa late na week at matatapos rin agad yung character niya,\u201d said the actor. \u201cPerhaps, there\u2019s someone during the meeting of our bosses and the production staff who broached the idea na \u2018wag muna ako alisin sa show. Of course, I was happy with it and at the same time so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Ysabel, on the other hand, was supposed to have only seven taping days, yet her character lasted \u2019til the end of the show\u2019s Book 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd then in Book 2, I didn\u2019t expect the story to highlight the reign of Armea as Queen of Sapiro, and I\u2019m so grateful, of course, to GMA for choosing our characters as (one of the) highlights for Book 2,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ysabel said Miguel is not against her being paired with another actor. \u201cEver since we started (having) our own shows, we were actually looking forward to it because there\u2019s more room to grow for both of us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re doing different things right now, but at the same time, we\u2019re still strong as ever because our relationship is not based on our projects. So, we\u2019re just here, we\u2019re rooting, supporting each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress is confident that no one will dare go near Miguel \u201cbecause everybody knows that we have each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Besides, Ysabel said they both respect each other\u2019s boundaries, knowing that it is not about keeping your partner out but creating a safe space where they both feel secure and heard.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe trust each other, and for me, it feels like you\u2019re becoming territorial if you\u2019re always keeping an eye (on your partner), so you just have to trust your partner,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Jon, who has been married for nine years now, knows that conflicts in a relationship arise when partners don\u2019t have a clear understanding of their preferences. He maintains a smooth-sailing relationship with Shy through open communication, mutual respect, and trust.<\/p>\n

Ysabel is in a romantic relationship with Miguel Tanfelix.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cMy wife trusts me, and I appreciate it so much by telling her everything, including things about work. For example, I have to do a romantic scene, I always assure her that my love for work stays with me, but my heart stays at home.\u201d<\/p>\n

I asked Jon what piece of advice he would give Ysabel about marriage, he said, \u201cKung sakaling ipagkaloob ng langit na magiging isa na lang kayo, tuloy lang ang pagiging mapagtiwala at mapagmahal.\u201d<\/p>\n

And whenever conflict or misunderstanding arises between couples, Jon deems it best to talk about it and resolve them without having other people meddle in it.<\/p>\n

It is said that happy couples don\u2019t just love each other, but they also choose and like each other.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
